Synopsis

Founded in the mountains in 1854, 70 km West of Rio de Janeiro, the popularity of Petropolis is due to its pleasant climate.

Arranged around the summer palace of Emperor Pedro II, all the other houses were also intended to be summer residences.

Thanks to this prestigious origin, its streets are lined with splendid mansions previously owned by the imperial family and the Brazilian aristocracy.
