Synopsis
Earth often reminds humans that they are insignificant faced to the forces that drive the blue planet. When the earth shakes and volcanoes spew out their magma and toxic gases, it is the man who suffers.
Two recent events have reminded us of this frailty: the eruption of the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjöll, which paralyzed Europe for a week, and the earthquake in Haiti, which killed over 230,000 people.
These phenomena originate in the bowels of the earth.
