Synopsis
The Polynesians made their outrigger canoes the fastest and most maneuverable boats in the Pacific.
According to Cook, they used the positions of the stars at sunrise and sunset and the direction of the wind to find their way.
Today, a group of young Polynesians passionate about sailing and their culture has decided to revive the practice of the sailing pirogue, which has been abandoned in favor of motorboats.
