Synopsis

The Cathars were heretics who, in the 13th century, and in the Middle Ages, questioned the supremacy of the Church of Rome.

Sophie begins her journey in Montségur, the last refuge of those who fled persecution. She tastes the local bread and wines made according to a thousand-year-old tradition. These products were vital to the heretics but did not represent the flesh and blood of Christ.
