From the Pont du Gard to the Cap d’Agde, Languedoc evokes landscapes of garrigues, large sand beaches and a particularly mild and sunny climate. But this region is also prey to extreme weather phenomena: the Cevennes episodes. Almost every year, they rage with a varying intensity, causing devastating floods. The coastline, largely urbanized in the 60s, is now under attack from the sea. The challenge is huge for the region, which is facing the consequences of climate change, including the rising sea level.
