Synopsis
The recent killing of an American missionary shed a light on the tribes of the Andaman islands, among them the Jarawas.
For a very long time, they were adamant in shunning contact with the outside world, going as far as firing arrows at anyone who trespassed on their territory. Today, they are confined to a reserve that is crossed by a busy highway.
Shot over 20 years, this film is an unique account of the progressive acculturation of a primary people and an exceptional testimony for future generations.
