The energy of Beethoven’s Violin Sonata contrasts with the sweetness of Higdon’s Nocturne. The duo then continues with the Hispanicised melodies of Carmen Fantasy – Bizet revisited by Waxman. They end the recital with a great classic by Prokofiev.
