Synopsis

In October 2019, an unprecedented protest movement brought hundreds of thousands of demonstrators into the streets and squares across Lebanon.

At the forefront of their demands, cutting across class and community lines, were the removal of a corrupt political class, the abolition of the confessional system, and equal rights: women, leading the marches, called for the repeal of the discriminatory laws that govern their lives.
