DISTRIBUTION
The distribution of television programs on the international market has been our core business activity since 1987. Responding to the ever-growing demand for factual programming, we've specialized in marketing documentaries, magazines, and current event programs.

To offer our customers a wider breadth of programs, Ampersand expanded to fiction and music. In 2002, we added the Cameras Continentales catalog, a leader in French television productions in the 1990s. The acquisition of the Docstar/Explore catalog from Canal+/StudioCanal in 2007, made Ampersand a leading provider of wildlife documentaries.

Beyond television, we've entered the DVD, VoD, closed circuit TV and internet markets. Ampersand was a pioneer and currently remains a leader for inflight rights.

PRODUCTION
While continuing to source new programming, Ampersand has begun to produce factual programs. This allowed better control of the company's catalog, as well as addressed management's interest in the genre. Since 1995, productions have spanned the discovery theme, and now include travel, history, nature, wildlife and lifestyle.

Ampersand currently produces 20 films per year, choosing diverse subjects and partners. Our philosophy is to be open to many styles and genres, so we include reports and short subjects as well as traditional documentaries.

Yet, all our films have a common DNA, making them appealing to the international market. Each one can find a place with any broadcaster in the world.
